Peace by the wife's authority over her husband? (1Cor 11:10)

Only those who respect authority may exercise authority (11:10). The ministering woman must respect authority in her cultural pater familias context: she wears a veil to respect her husband. Then, however, she must also exercise her own God-given “ministerial authority” (exousia) over her community without hesitation: she teaches and rebukes them through prophecy – the authorities and her husband included.
